THE PROCESS
-
Do you accept people with learner licences?Yes absolutely! However, it is a legal requirement that you drive with a Full Licence driver at all times. This will also mean that when you come to collect your car, you must bring somebody with a Full Licence to collect the car with you - we will need to verify they have a Full Licence and take a copy of this.
-
What does "Damage Liability" mean? This is the maximum amount you will be liable for in the event of your car being damaged. The vehicle is insured, but you will still need to pay the damage liability. However, if the car is only involved in a small accident, we will obtain a quote to repair, and if it is less than the maximum Damage Liability amount, that is all you will have to pay. For example, you side swipe something and one of your car doors need to be repaired. We’ll get a quote from the panel beaters, when it comes back at only $300, that is all you will have to pay, not the full maximum Damage Liability amount. A second example, you crash the car and it is considered a total write off. You will then need to pay the maximum Damage Liability amount, depending on which plan you have chosen.
-
What does "Kilometre Allowance" mean? This is the maximum kilometres you are allowed to drive per year for free. After this amount, you will be charged at $0.40 cents per kilometre. For reference, the average person drives 10,000 - 14,000kms per year - so your basic package should keep you covered!
-
What happens after my 6-month contract finishes - Can I rent/subscribe again?Yes absolutely, we can renew your 6-month plan with us again if all your payments have gone well.
-
Can I buy my rental car off you?Yes definitely, we regularly cycle in and out our fleet. After your plan finishes, you can either choose to renew for another 6-month plan, or we can offer to sell you the car. The exact amount will be need to be requested by your account manager. We have lots of customers who decide to buy their rental car off us, so dont be shy in asking! We’ll even give the car a fresh WOF and service before you take it.
-
How much do I have to pay up front? We have a one off Set-Up fee, this is displayed on the website for which vehicle you choose. If you choose to renew your plan again after your first 6 months, we WONT charge you that set up fee again as you already have that vehicle! However, if you choose to change vehicles, then the new vehicle Set-Up fee will apply.
-
Are there any hidden fees?We have 5 types of fees: 1) There is your maximum Damage Liability amount - this will depend on which plan you take. 2) Kilometre Allowance, which again is determined by which package you take - If you go over your maximum yearly amount, you will be charged at $0.40 cents per kilometre. 3) Missed payments will incur a fee of $20.00 each. 4) Infringement Fees - if you get a speeding or parking ticket we will bill you for the ticket + a $40.00 fee. 5) Return fees - when you return the vehicle, we look at 3 main things. The exterior/interior condition, the cleanliness of the car (clean or not), and your fuel level. If any of these are not in the same condition/level of fuel, then we will charge you for the cost to return it to the condition it was in when it was first rented + $40.00 fee. *please note this is inline with our fair wear and tear policy
-
How do I make payments? We set up a direct debit with your bank account to take payments automatically. If you are paid fortnightly, we can also set up payments to match your pay. It is also possible to set up a WINZ redirection, just ask us how, and we’ll get it sorted!
-
What happens if I miss a payment?A dishonour fee of $20.00 will apply, per missed payment. One of our account managers will be in touch immediately to organise a repayment that day.
